Our Anniversary Party

LINCOLN has been featuring seasonal small plates, a fresh original bar program, creative seating, one-of-a-kind artwork and a stunning interior for a year now. It’s been one thrilling ride: over the past year we were a Washington Post Editor’s Pick for Best Late Night Happy Hour, appeared on NBC4 news, featured in Wine Enthusiast, held several star-studded private events, and even hosted wedding receptions at our convenient location in Northwest Washington, DC.

It was our turn to say “thank you” to our loyal following on Monday April 16th, when our corporate lunch, happy hour, evening and brunch diners, family and friends joined us to toast a successful first year at LINCOLN. History buffs took note that our party coincided with the anniversary of Abraham Lincoln signing the Compensated Emancipation Act into law in 1862 amid ongoing Congressional debate.

Below, artist and Lincoln interior designer Maggie O’Neill enjoys the celebration.

AOL co-founder Jim Kimsey and LINCOLN proprietors Alan Popovsky and Laurence Rosoff enjoy drinks from LINCOLN’s fresh and fabulous bar.

Here two of our guests enjoy cocktails, one nicely color-coordinated with her signature Lincoln-era antique copper cup.

Crooked Monkey founder Micha Weinblatt (right) strikes a pose with Ezra Weinblatt (left) – both, of course, sporting ironic tees.

Executive Chef Demetrio Zavala’s specialty seasonal small plates were a hit as our hungry guests got their chow on with a passed menu sampling.

Says REVAMP.com, “Honest Abe himself (or his Madame Tussauds doppelganger at least) could barely steal himself away from his many fans in order to enjoy the occasional Moscow Mule.”

We trust everyone left the party talking food, fun and that signature LINCOLN spirit. See you on our patio this summer!
